Our Story

Iron Income was founded by Chase Smallwood, a dedicated third-generation dealership owner himself, with the intention of providing superior and innovative reinsurance solutions specifically designed for dealership owners, their family members, and key employees. After graduating with a master’s degree from Harvard University, Chase joined his family’s company, where he began his career. Starting from the bottom, he worked tirelessly and diligently, which allowed him to obtain a comprehensive and detailed view of dealership operations while gaining invaluable experience across a wide variety of departments and functions.

Chase’s extensive experience with reinsurance began in early 2020, when his family’s company, La Mesa RV, initiated their own reinsurance program. From that pivotal moment, he has had the opportunity to witness firsthand how advantageous a well-managed reinsurance company can truly be for a dealership. After leaving his family’s company, Chase made a significant commitment to traveling across the nation to assist other dealers in harnessing the wealth that reinsurance can generate. Drawing on his valuable experience as a dealership owner, Chase is equipped to guide others through the complexities of the reinsurance process, providing crucial advice to fellow owners on the essential dos and don’ts they should be mindful of.

With an educational background in finance and holding the title of Investment Advisor Representative with a Series 65 license, Chase possesses the unique ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between the dealership world and the intricate domain of asset management. By integrating knowledge from both the dealership environment and asset management, Chase is able to provide comprehensive guidance that not only addresses immediate financial concerns but also fosters long-term growth.
